Internship OpportunitiesMarine Field Techniques Research Internships with Island Marine InstituteThis internship program is open to undergraduate students, graduate students, recent graduates and marine professionals from around the world working toward a career in marine mammal biology, zoology, marine biology or a related field. Our internship program allows students to gain valuable research skills at no cost. Interns participate in:
*Federal and State law requires vessels to stay outside of a 100 yard approach limit when encountering whales.
Island Marine Institute also participates in other ongoing research projects, including a population and fibropapilloma assessment of the Hawaii green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas), as well as a coral and faunal survey of Maui's coral reefs.
